As you’d expect from a Hotel with our heritage, our Dining Room is full of charm. Whatever time of day, we can promise you a menu that inspires, a little tradition, and a space that suits your mood. It all adds up to an experience that’s, well, unmistakably Durrant’s.
Executive Chef, Rumel Pinnock oversees our restaurant where we serve Breakfast, Brunch, an Express Lunch and a children’s menu in The Dining Room. You can also stop in for Afternoon Tea any day of the week. In the evenings, we have a full a la carte offering as well as a traditional Sunday Lunch every weekend.
The George Bar serves light bites and drinks throughout the day and into the night. You’ll find plenty of other spots throughout the hotel to settle in for a cup of tea, a slice of cake and a little socialising. From the cosy Wallace Room to the informal Spy Lounge, there’s a space to suit your mood and a menu to inspire.
The bar is named after George Street, which was named for King George III, who reigned from 1760 to 1820. As one of London’s oldest hotels, Durrant’s has been a part of the city’s history since 1789. While we can’t say for sure, it’s possible King George III visited for a drink—what matters now is that you enjoy yours.
The Dining Room at Durrant’s Hotel features plush leather seating, elegant wood-panelled walls, and warm, inviting lighting. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea, and dinner, it showcases seasonal British cuisine. Menus here are crafted by Executive Chef Rumel Pinnock, who brings his wealth of knowledge to Durrant’s Hotel, having worked at some of the city’s most prestigious establishments.
The Wallace Room, inspired by The Wallace Collection, featuring a relaxed lounge ambiance with rich, warm tones and cosy welcoming fabrics. It’s perfect for afternoon tea, cocktails, and light snacks, ideal for casual gatherings. The room is also available for private hire, making it suitable for intimate meetings or receptions.
The Armfield Room features a cosy atmosphere with a LEGO Titanic model, Charles Miller’s armchair, and a bookcase. It’s perfect for small, informal meetings, intimate drinks, or canapé receptions. Available for private hire, the room offers a charming setting without the need for audio-visual equipment.
The Spy Lounge blends classic sophistication with modern comfort, featuring Vanity Fair “Spy” cartoons by Sir Leslie Ward. It’s an ideal space for enjoying cocktails, bar snacks, and quality time with friends or colleagues. With its elegant atmosphere and artistic charm, the Spy Lounge guarantees a memorable experience.
Our traditional Sunday Roast lunch is back! Served at your table from the trolley as we have been doing at Durrant’s Hotel since 1921.
Experience the convenience of dining in the privacy of your room, whether you are starting the day with a hearty breakfast, enjoying a leisurely lunch, or treating yourself to an evening indulgence. Our full Room Service menu is available from 12:00pm to 10:00pm. After 10:00pm, we are delighted to offer a selection of sandwiches to satisfy your late-night cravings.
